The Edmonton Public School Board has begun construction on three new K-9 schools, all scheduled to open in September 2012. One is replacing the current Major General Griesbach School and the name will remain the same.
We are now seeking public input for name suggestions for the schools, being built in the Summerside/Ellerslie and Hamptons/Grange areas.
When submitting a name for consideration, please include any relevant background information in support of the name provided. The Edmonton Public School Board will consider all names submitted.
We suggest the new school names:
Submissions may be emailed to Jyde Heaven , faxed to Planning at 780-425-0323, dropped off at the Centre for Education, 1 Kingsway or at any school in the District.
Suggestions for names will be accepted until 4:30 p.m., February 28, 2011. Please include your contact information in case follow-up is needed. You may also complete this brief, online survey to suggest a name.
