To celebrate Family Literacy Day in Canada, students from Richard Secord School (4025 - 117 Street) will be participating in a school-wide book exchange on Thursday, January 27 from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
Students were invited to bring in their gently used books in exchange for redeemable coupons. The students will then use the coupons to select some fantastic new-to-them books.
Family Literacy Day takes place annually on January 27 to celebrate adults and children reading and learning together, and to encourage Canadians to spend at least 15 minutes enjoying a learning activity as a family every day.
