| What: | Christmas Banquet at L.Y. Cairns School Students at L.Y. Cairns School will be treated to a wonderful holiday meal at the school's Christmas Banquet. This annual meal has been sponsored entirely by the school staff for more than 30 years. Prepared with help from students in the foods program, the feast includes: 25 turkeys, 24 kilograms of corn, 42 kilograms of dressing, 35 kilograms of potatoes, 20 litres of gravy, 40 kilograms of mandarin oranges and 500 ice cream cups. Fifteen School Resource Officers from the Edmonton Police Service will be on hand to help the school staff serve the 450 students. |
