The official opening of Dr. Donald Massey School will take place on Wednesday, September 22 at 7 p.m. (5435 - 162 Avenue NW). Dr. Donald Massey School is an ASAP school - owned, administered and operated by Edmonton Public Schools. The school has been built to achieve LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver certification, an independent rating system used to measure environmental efficiency. LEED Silver buildings are more energy efficient, cost less to operate, and provide a healthier work environment through improved air quality and use of natural light.

The school is named after Dr. Donald Massey, a highly respected educator and Trustee who has had a lifelong association with education in the city and in the province.
