What: | WESTMINSTER SCHOOL THINK PINK ASSEMBLY The assembly celebrates the school receiving the CIBC Run for the Cure School Team Award 2009. The school will receive an official banner from CIBC representatives and the principal and assistant principals will be dunked by the top student fundraisers, keeping their promise to do so if the team met their fundraising goal of $30,000. |

Who: | This year, 250 students, staff and parents made up the school's team. Top student fundraisers included: Kate Wuschke ($1220), Thomas Wishloff ($1210) and Sarah Wishloff ($1100). |
Why: | Westminster School received the CIBC Run for the Cure School Team Award 2009 for their efforts in raising over $38,000 for the cause. The school has participated in the event for the past eight years and has raised over $135,000. Westminster chose to support the CIBC Run for the Cure in honour of students and staff who have been affected by breast cancer. The team lives by the slogan "let's do it and let's do it big!" - and they've been honoured with numerous awards for their dedication to the Run. |
