EDMONTON PUBLIC SCHOOL BOARD OFFERS CONDOLENCES TO SKYLER LOCKWOOD'S FAMILY AND FRIENDS

Edmonton Public School Board Chair Don Fleming today extended condolences on behalf of the board and school administration to the family of Skyler Lockwood.

"Our hearts go out to Skyler's family and friends. Understandably this is an extremely emotional time for the family. It was important for us as a district to pledge our complete support to the Lockwoods during this difficult period of loss and sorrow. It is also important to be respectful of the Lockwood family and their need for privacy. Staff and students at J. Percy Page High School are also grieving as Skyler was an important member of their close-knit community," Fleming said.

Grief counseling continues to be provided to staff and students in need and the offer of counseling was also extended to Skyler's family.
