Good Things Are Happening
BRIGHTVIEW SCHOOL ANNUAL CHRISTMAS DINNER

On Wednesday, December 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. members of the Rotary Club of Edmonton Mayfield will serve their 11th annual Christmas Dinner to students at Brightview School (15425 - 106 Avenue). This annual event is a kick off to the Christmas season and exemplifies the spirit of giving to those less fortunate.

Brightview School serves the Canora community in North Jasper Place. The school community has very high socioeconomic needs and truly appreciates the caring and generosity of this community service organization. The Rotary Club of Edmonton Mayfield members not only organize, pay for and serve the Christmas dinner, they also raise and donate funds to support the daily breakfast snack program and the Wednesday hot lunch program at the school. Recently, the Rotary Club presented the Brightview School with a cheque for $33,000 to help feed the almost 200 students through the 'Food for Thought' hot lunch program.
