Good Things Are Happening
MAYOR STEPHEN MANDEL VISITS WESTBROOK SCHOOL
On Thursday, April 24, 8:30 to 9 a.m., Mayor Stephen Mandel will visit a class of Grade 2 students at Westbrook School. The students will ask him questions about the shortage of affordable housing in Edmonton.
The visit is the result of a letter writing project the students completed before Christmas as part of their character education work on the trait of caring. In their letters, students wrote about Edmonton's homeless population.
The writing project is done on an annual basis by Meheret Worku, who is a semi-finalist for an Excellence in Teaching Award.
