ENGLISH LANGUAGE INSTITUTE AT METRO CONTINUING EDUCATION HOSTS PANCAKE BREAKFAST
In the spirit of the Canadian Finals Rodeo, the English Language Institute at Metro Continuing Education (8205-90 street) is hosting a student appreciation pancake breakfast in the school gym. On Wednesday, November 7, from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m., English as a Second Language students will try their hand at lassoing a wooden calf, learn a line dance and enter to win two tickets to Thursday night's rodeo.
The English Language Institute of Metro Continuing Education provides English language learning to adult students. Students at the Institute are new to the country and are just learning English. This event will provide them with some context around the Canadian history they have been learning in their classes by connecting them to how Canada was settled and the important role agriculture plays in our country.
