Ladybug lands at École Greenview School
École Greenview School students and staff are excited to host 140 student and staff guests from 10 different schools at a special assembly to share their experiences and involvement with The Ladybug Foundation. The event takes place on Tuesday, May 15 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The keynote speaker will be Hannah Taylor, the 11-year-old founder of the Ladybug Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises money for the homeless. In addition, École Greenview School students and special guests from the HOPE Mission and the Youth Emergency Shelter will share their experiences.
Since last October, École Greenview School has been involved in a variety of fundraising projects, raising over $5,000 specifically to help the homeless in Edmonton. Student participation in this initiative has empowered students to realize they can make a difference in their world and has helped to build their self-esteem and inspired self-confidence.
Since its inception, the Ladybug Foundation has collected over one million dollars for the homeless. Additional information on the foundation is available at http://www.ladybugfoundation.ca/.
