Edmonton Public Schools leads in 2007 Excellence in Teaching Awards
Edmonton Public Schools is proud to announce that 10 district teachers were among 20 honoured with 2007 Excellence in Teaching Awards. In addition, two district teachers will receive KIDS Innovative Use of Technology Awards.
"The fact that Edmonton Public Schools was awarded half of the Excellence in Teaching Awards and two out of the three technology awards speaks to the remarkable calibre of educators in our district," said Edgar Schmidt, Superintendent of Schools. "We are very proud of the accomplishments of these teachers and of the dedication each staff member has to ensuring every student is successful."

The award-winning teachers were selected from 134 finalists across the province by Alberta Education. The awards recognize teachers who have achieved excellence in various areas of their profession.
