Good Things Are Happening
Parents raise funds through Book Fair for Victoria School library

The Victoria Arts Society (VAS) is a non-profit, parent volunteer organization that provides financial support to Victoria School of Performing and Visual Arts. Through their fundraising initiatives, the group has raised thousands of dollars and purchased everything from new media equipment to dancers tap shoes. In the past three years alone they have donated just under $20,000 to the Victoria School libraries and through their annual book fair have raised another $10,000. This year, their goal is to raise funds to help rebuild the lost book collections lost in the fire.

The book fair, originally scheduled to take place in mid-April, was postponed because the space was being used as a temporary classroom as a result of the fire.

The Victoria Arts Society Spring Book Fair has been re-scheduled for the following dates and times:

- Friday, April 27 - 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Monday, April 30 - 9 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, May 1 - 9 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, May 2 - 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Thursday, May 3 - 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The book fair will take place in the Green Room adjacent to the Eva O. Howard Theatre, in Victoria School of Performing and Visual Arts, located at 101 Street and Kingsway Avenue.
