Helping students chart the course for senior high school

Edmonton Public Schools and Edmonton Economic Development Corporation are hosting a free workshop that will provide junior high students and their parents with information about senior high school options and career planning.

Students and their parents will learn about the programs and choices offered in Edmonton Public Schools' senior high schools. Hands-on career exploration tools will also be presented to assist students with learning and career planning as they prepare for high school.

Students and parents will also hear from:

  • Brian Wilson, Operations Manager, McCoy Corporation, will be speaking on a life-long career in trades.
  • Sue Pekonen, Program Manager Agri-foods and Architecture, Engineering and Construction Industries, Edmonton Economic Development Corporation, will speak about a non-traditional career path for women in business.

When: January 24, 2007 from 7 to 9 p.m.
