Family Literacy Day at Athlone School
On Thursday, January 25 from 2:15 to 3:30 p.m., Athlone School is having their 1st Annual Family Literacy Day. Students, their families and friends will participate in a variety of literacy activities with school staff and community members. The activities include games, buddy reading, visiting the computer lab, creating crafts and listening to guest speakers.
Participants have also been asked to bring in gently used books to swap in a book exchange.
The event coincides with the national Family Literacy Day which falls on January 27.
