Ready to Shine? Student Fashion Show

The Edmonton Public Schools Foundation, in partnership with Kingsway Mall, is introducing some of Edmonton's brightest young designers to the world. The gala fashion show will highlight the creative design talents of Fashion Studies students from five local high schools.

"Kingsway Mall is all about fashion. It's what we live and breathe," says Director of Marketing, John Chwyl." This project began as a great way to create awareness about Fashion Studies, but through our strong partnership with the Edmonton Public Schools Foundation, and the great support of Sig Plach Couturier & Fabrics, Burke Group and Marvel College, it has become a spectacle of fashion and design - an event not to be missed."

The fashion show will feature the collections of student teams from L.Y. Cairns, M.E. LaZerte, Harry Ainlay, Jasper Place and Ross Sheppard. Students were challenged to design their collection for the Kingsway Mall shopper demographic. During the event, teams will present their original designs, which will include a casual top, career skirt and black tie event dress.
