What: International Earth Day Video Conference

When: Thursday, April 22 from 9 to 10 a.m.

Where: Queen Elizabeth School, 9425 - 132 Avenue

Who: Three thousand students will participate via video conference (VC), live webcasting, discussion boards and blogs from Canada, the United States, England and Australia. The event is hosted in collaboration with Staples and TakingITGlobal, the world's largest online social network orientated around global social action.

Why: Did you know that the food system is responsible for approximately 1/3 of global greenhouse gasses? Join TakingITGlobal's initiative to reduce your carbon footprint and take a bite out of climate change, starting with your lunch. This interactive VC will introduce classes/schools to the impact the global food system has on climate change and some very practical things you can do about it. The Centre for Global Education and TakingITGlobal, are proud to team up and offer this amazing opportunity to network with schools around the world through TIG's global online community and video conferencing.
