ABORIGINAL STUDENT ART
Seventeen junior high students from across the city converged at the Centre for Education for a three-day art workshop with Aaron Paquette, a local Aboriginal artist, whose work is displayed at the Bearclaw Gallery.
The workshop gave the Aboriginal students a chance to work with a professional artist and also enabled them to connect with other Aboriginal students in a supportive environment. Aaron adds, "The workshop gives the students an opportunity to rebuild pride and knowledge in their culture."
Here are some examples of the students' work.
