DISTRICT STUDENTS WIN BIG AT CAPPIES AWARDS GALAVictoria School's charming My Fair Lady was named top musical while Strathcona School lay claim to the Top critics team award at the second annual Cappies Awards Gala held at the end of June at the Citadel's Shoctor Theatre.
Awards were presented in more than 40 categories, including critical writing, acting, costume design and props.
The Cappies, 'Critics and Awards Program,' is a program based out of Washington, D.C through which high school theater and journalism students are trained as critics, attend shows at other schools, write reviews, and publish those reviews in local newspapers. It is designed to enhance the profile of high school theatre.
