EDWIN PARR AWARD
Edmonton Public Schools' Honorary District Nominee for the Alberta School Boards Association (ASBA) Edwin Parr Award for excellence in first year teaching is Clare Cumberland from J. Percy Page School. The Edwin Parr Award is presented to first-year teachers by the Alberta School Boards Association (ASBA) to honour those who demonstrate strategies to accommodate different student learning styles.
Each year, the ASBA honours six outstanding first-year teachers to represent five zones throughout the province. These new teachers demonstrate excellence in utilizing a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different student.
