U.S. CONSUL GENERAL VISIT TO PRINCE CHARLES SCHOOL

Mr. Tom Huffaker, the U.S. Consul General for Alberta, visited Prince Charles School to donate books about U.S. history, society and culture in conjunction with marking Black History month, the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s birthday and President’s Day.

Mr. Huffaker spoke to a Grade 5 class in the library about the United States, the recent election of President Barack Obama, and answered students’ questions.

Through the book donation The U.S. Consulate uses the book donation program to reach out to young people in Alberta and share resources and information about U.S. history, society and culture.
