Good Things Are Happening
M.E. LAZERTE'S GREEN TEAM TAKES ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGE TO THE STREETS!

On Thursday, October 23, 35 students from M.E. LaZerte will deliver compact fluorescent light bulbs door-to-door around the school's neighbouring community. The purpose of the deliveries is to encourage residents to make more conscious choices about the way they use energy.

This student lead project, began after the school was approached by Project Porchlight. The students involved in the Green Team embraced the idea of delivering light bulbs because it allows them to start small, but have a noticeable impact in their community.

More information about Project Porchlight is available on their website at http://www.projectporchlight.com/blog/join-porchlight-team-brighten-edmonton-and-get-free-pizza

Schedule:

4:15 to 6:30 p.m. door-to-door delivery of light bulbs & awareness campaign in the community.
