Good Things Are Happening
PRINCE CHARLES SCHOOL CELEBRATES READ IN WEEK WITH NEW BOOKS

Students and staff at Prince Charles School are celebrating READ IN Week by choosing from a new supply of books , thanks to an $87,000 grant the school received from the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation.

Over the next three years, Prince Charles School will use the money to increase classroom libraries to support independent reading and home reading programs. In addition, books will be purchased to support the Aboriginal History Quiz, M.S. Read-a-thon and the Global Reading Project.

On Thursday, October 9, 2008 from 9 to 9:45 a.m., the Honourable, Dave Hancock, Minister of Education, will read one of the school's new books to a group of Grades 5 and 6 students.
