PRINCE CHARLES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL RECEIVES HP TECHNOLOGY FOR TEACHING GRANT

Prince Charles Elementary School is one of ten K-12 public schools across Canada to receive the 2008 HP Technology for Teaching grant. The grant is designed to transform and improve learning in the classroom through innovative uses of technology. The school will receive an award package of HP products and a cash award for five teachers, with a total value of more than $38,000. Each of the ten HP Technology for Teaching grant recipients will use wireless HP Tablet PC technology to enhance learning in engineering, math, science, computer science or business courses. With this grant, students will participate in an authentic project resulting in personally meaningful data. They will learn that they can impact their school and community positively through recycling.
