WESTBROOK SCHOOL STUDENTS CONDUCT A SAFE WALK AS PART OF PEDESTRIAN SAFETY WEEK

All this week, Westbrook School students have been participating in a safe walk around the school with their teachers during Pedestrian Safety Week (May 26 to June 1). The goal of the walk is to raise student awareness about safety while getting to and from school.

Pedestrian safety messages have also been highlighted for parents through the school newsletter and the Safe Streets for Schools pledge. The pledge was developed to promote awareness and respect about safely sharing roads and sidewalks when driving or walking students to and from school. The pledge was developed in collaboration with parents from St. Boniface Catholic School and members of the Aspen Gardens Community League.

Media are invited to watch a Grade 3 class as they conduct their safe walk on Friday, May 30 at 10:30 a.m.
