Good Things Are Happening
CITY WILL BE FULL OF HEROS THIS WEEKEND

On March 8 and 9, the Hockey Education Reaching Out Society (HEROS) program will host a tournament at the Callingwood Arena (17740-69 Avenue). The weekend will kick off with an NHL style draft with teams being formed with players from both the Edmonton and Calgary HEROS. There are 65 students taking part in this weekend's event.

Since the launch of the Edmonton HEROS program in October 2007, 32 students from Abbott, Montrose and Rundle schools have participated in the program, which is designed to teach teamwork, skating skills and the game of hockey.
