Good Things Are Happening
CHRISTMAS COMES EARLY FOR DELWOOD SCHOOL STUDENTS AND STAFF

On Friday, December 14 at 9:30 a.m., students and staff from Delwood School will receive a surprise donation of Christmas decorations for their Newton School location (5523 - 122 Avenue). Michael Lyon, a parent of a Delwood student, secured the donations from local businesses. "I wanted to bring some Christmas cheer to the kids and the staff after what they have been through," says Lyon.

Donations received include:

  • A six foot, pre-lit Christmas tree and decorations from Canadian Tire on Fort Road;
  • Christmas bulbs, garland, stockings and three small trees from Wal-Mart on 137 Ave and 40 Street; and
  • A large wreath and Santa ornament from Costco on 136 Ave and 50 Street.
