Job Fair for French language students

On Friday, February 9, Edmonton Public Schools is hosting a job fair specifically geared for French language students. At 1:15 p.m., approximately 300 French language students and their teachers will visit exhibitors' booths in the atrium at the Centre for Education, One Kingsway. Over 10 representatives from federal and provincial government departments will provide students with information on jobs that specifically requires a proficiency in French.

The students attending the job fair are from Harry Ainlay, Jasper Place and Ross Sheppard high schools and include Grade 9 French language students. It is a chance for the students to learn about the many employment opportunities available to them as a result of their skill in the French language.

Edmonton Public Schools' Curriculum Services and Canadian Heritage have organized the event. Participating organizations include the Canada Revenue Agency, the Public Service Commission of Canada, National Defense, Alberta Education, Industry Canada and the CBC.
